ABOUT ME |
Duccio Nacci was born in San Gimignano and it is here that he still lives and works.
A professional photographer since 1997. he collaborates with national and international reviews. He also does illustration for books and catalogues. At first he specialized in photographs of landscape, architecture snd art. Now he is looking towards a different type of image: a silent landscape where the human person, even though invisible, is always present and leads us towards a melancholic kind of joy.
In 1999 he published the volume of photographs "Viaggio nella Campagna Toscana", the product of long and attentive labor that wishes to bring the journey by highlighting the beauty of his own land.
In 2008 he published the volume, "Toscana dell'anima".
This anthology of photographs and writings for and about Tuscany is intended as a tribute to the place where Duccio was born and has always lived. The photographs in the book were taken at dawn or sundown, when the natural beauty of the land, the vegetation, the sky and the animals is most genuine and absolute.
Right now a number of his works, printed in his own private studio, are on display in the small atelier of his wife, Renata, known as "La Bottega del Sale" on the piazza del Duomo in San Gimignano.
In the store are available carbon prints, colour prints and all printed on a special cotton paper "Ecco". |
